Preschool Storytime is for children ages 3 to 5 years. During this program, we read books and do activities to promote Kindergarten readiness.
Children can join us in the Activity Room any time between 4 and 5 to make a fun craft and take it home!

Babygarten is a storytime for babies ages 2 to 14 months, held every other Thursday in the Activity Room. See calendar for dates.
Tweens & teens are invited to participate in the library’s Picture Book Writing Contest! Prizes will be generously provided by the Friends of the Wichita Falls Public Library. Complete rules are posted at the library.

In honor of Picture Book Month in November, tweens & teens, ages 10-17, can participate in the Wichita Falls Public Library’s Picture Book Writing Contest!Beginning October 1st, blank books can be purchased at the Youth Desk for $1. Only blank books purchased from the library will be accepted for final entry.
Teenreads, a site dedicated to book lovers, has come up with the Ultimate Reading List that will give you some great ideas about what to read next. Titles include young adult & adult titles that have been recommended by readers & staffers. Lists have been recently updated to include recent titles including fiction, nonfiction, manga & graphic novels.
