  • EBSCO Literary Reference Center - provides a broad spectrum of information on thousands of authors and their works across literary disciplines and timeframes—to give students, professors, and researchers a foundation of literary reference works to meet their research needs.

  • NewspaperArchive.com - Search this site for historic newspapers including the Wichita Falls Daily Times 1911-1923. The New York Times from 1854 to 1901 is also online as well as dozens of newspapers from throughout North America. Available for use at the Library only.

  • Britannica Public Library Edition - 4 full encyclopedias, full-text magazine articles, websites that have been reviewed and verified by Britannica editors, a homework help section for students, a world atlas, Merriam-Webster dictionaries and thesauri for children and adults, a Spanish-English dictionary, video and audio content, daily content updates, and more.   • EBSCO MAS Ultra - School Edition - This comprehensive database, designed specifically for high school libraries, contains full text for nearly 500 popular, high school magazines including America’s Civil War, American Heritage, American History, Archaeology, Astronomy, Bioscience, Careers & Colleges, Civil War Times, Congressional Digest, Discover, History Today, Nation, National Review, New Republic, New Scientist, Popular Science, Science News, Scientific American, Smithsonian, World War II, etc. All full text articles are assigned a reading level indicator (Lexiles). Full text is also available for 85,670 biographies and over 107,000 primary source documents. Additionally, MAS Ultra – School Edition contains more than 360 reference books (including the Columbia Encyclopedia, the CIA World Fact Book and World Almanac & Book of Facts), an Image Collection of over 510,000 photos, maps & flags, color PDFs and expanded full text backfiles (back to 1975) for key magazines.

  • EBSCO Middle Search Plus - provides full text for more than 140 popular, middle school magazines. All full text articles included in the database are assigned a reading level indicator. Full text is also available for thousands of biographies and historical essays. Middle Search Plus also contains 84,774 biographies, 105,786 primary source documents, and a School Image Collection of photos, maps and flags.

  • EBSCO Primary Search -  designed specifically for elementary school libraries and public library children’s rooms, contains full text for more than 70 popular, elementary school magazines. All full text articles are assigned a reading level indicator (Lexiles). In addition to the full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for nearly 100 magazines.

  • EBSCO Student Research Center - designed for students in grades 6 through 12. SRC provides students in secondary schools with the most appropriate research tools to easily obtain the information that they need from their EBSCO databases.

  • EBSCO TOPICsearch - This current events database allows researchers to explore social, political and economic issues, scientific discoveries and other popular topics discussed in today’s classrooms.

  • Gale Power Search - a search tool that saves you time by allowing you to search our Gale electronic resources in one place and review all of the results in a single list.

  • Gale Virtual Reference Library (GVRL)- a database of hundreds of reference ebooks - encyclopedias, almanacs, and specialized reference sources, including titles such as Novels for Students, Drama for Students, and Literary Themes for Students.

  • Library of Texas - search multiple Texas library catalogs and databases in one sitting.

  • Texshare Databases - access over 50 different databases on a wide range of topics, including business, science, genealogy, homework help, health, newspapers, magazines, literature, and history.   • EBSCO MedicLatina - a Spanish language collection of medical research and investigative journals published by renowned Latin American medical publishers. This unique database provides access to full text for 130 peer-reviewed medical journals in native Spanish.

  • Gale Health and Wellness Resource Center  - authoritative health information, including full-text medical encyclopedias, health and medical journals, thousands of pamphlets, streaming videos, and health articles from more than 3,000 general interest publications covering health care, diet, and fitness topics.

  • Gale Health Reference Center Academic - provides access to articles on fitness, pregnancy, medicine, nutrition, diseases, public health, occupational health and safety, alcohol and drug abuse, HMOs, prescription drugs, etc.

  • American Indian Histories and Culture is a unique resource that makes available, for the first time, many rare and significant documents from the Edward E. Ayer Collection at the Newberry Library, Chicago; one of the strongest archival collections on American Indian history in the world. Spanning four hundred years, document types include manuscripts, artworks, speeches and petitions, diaries, correspondence, linguistic and ethnographic studies, photographs, maps, photographs, rare printed books and American Indian newspapers.

  • EBSCO World History Collection offers a global look at history with content from Africa, Asia, North and South America, Europe and the Middle East. World History Collection contains cover-to-cover full text for 150 titles, including many peer-reviewed journals.

  • LearningExpress Library (old version)- an online database of interactive practice exams designed to help users improve their scores on academic, civil service, military, and professional licensing and certification tests. Some of the tests included are the GED, ACT, ASVAB, GRE,  SAT, postal worker and firefighter exams, and the test for U.S. citizenship. Also includes a large number of ebooks available in PDF format.   • Gale Legal Forms Library- Provides a wide selection of state-specific (and multi-state) legal forms across the most popular legal areas. Includes real estate contracts, wills, pre-marital agreements, bankruptcy, divorce, landlord tenant and many others. Also included is a comprehensive attorney state directory and a dictionary of legal definitions explained in laymen's language.

  • EBSCO Masterfile Premier - Need articles? This database contains full text articles for nearly 1,700 periodicals covering general reference, business, health, education, general science, multicultural issues and much more.

  • EBSCO Newspaper Source - provides cover-to-cover full text for more than 40 (U.S.) & international newspapers. The database also contains selective full text for 389 regional (U.S.) newspapers. In addition, full text television & radio news transcripts are also provided.

  • Newsbank - Complete full-text content of local and regional news from the Wichita Falls Times Record News (11/16/1998 - current), including community events, schools, politics, government policies, cultural activities, local companies, state industries, and people in the community. Paid advertisements are excluded.

  • NewspaperArchive.com - Search this site for historic newspapers including the Wichita Falls newspapers 1911 through 1976.  Available for use at the Library only.

  • EBSCO Science and Technology Collection - contains more than 830 leading full text journals covering relevant aspects of the scientific and technical community. In addition to the full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for more than 1,740 publications. Topics include aeronautics, astrophysics, biology, chemistry, computer technology, geology, aviation, physics, archaeology, marine sciences and materials science.
