2025 was a big year here at Wichita Falls Public Library! We updated old infrastructure, started new services, and continued providing popular programs like Summer Reading and Touch-A-Truck! Here are some of the big things we did over the past year:

• We started a third book club for adults focused on comics and graphic novels, Graphic Ink.
• The Wichita Falls Public Library Van made its debut this year, appearing at After Hours Art Walk, the Fishing Rodeo, and elsewhere around town bringing the library out into the community!
• With funding from a grant, we were able to replace our obsolete public computers with brand new computers.
• We also installed beautiful new carpet in the library - a massive undertaking!
• We brought back Mango Languages, giving our patrons a free way to start learning a new language.
• We added video tutorials from Niche Academy to many resources on our Database and eBooks and Apps pages.
• We had a fantastic Summer Reading program with 560 participants who earned 2,384 beanstack badges and redeemed almost a thousand prizes!

We have even more great things planned for 2026 so stay tuned!

Log the days you read, review books, and participate in seasonal activities (including our Holiday Open House on December 13th!) to earn cool prizes! The current prizes to choose from are reading blankets, a mascot plush, ring pops, mini watercolor painting books, hot cocoa, and book marks. All prizes are while supplies last.

The Winter Reading challenge runs from December 1st - January 31st.

We reopen Monday November 24th. We will, however, be closed Thursday November 27th and Friday November 28th for the Thanksgiving holiday.
