Study Rooms
The Library has 2 study rooms available for general use. Please review the following study room policy if you are interested in reserving time in a study room.
Study Room Policy
Reservations for Study Rooms
- Study rooms can be reserved in person or over the phone up to 14 days in advance at the Service Desk or by calling 940-767.0868. There is no charge to use a study room.
- Along with the study room, users may also check out white board markers and/or laptop stands.
- Study rooms seat a maximum of 6 people per room.
- Study rooms are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, and are intended for study groups, tutors, and quiet private study.
- Study rooms must be left as found; rearranged furniture must be returned to original placement.
- Ask at the Service Desk for a reserved study room to be unlocked. Rooms lock upon exiting for security reasons.
- Rooms may be booked for a maximum of 2 hours per group per day.
- A reserved study room will be held for 10 minutes. If customer is a no-show, the room will then be available for use by someone else.
General Guidelines
- Use of study rooms does not constitute Library or City of Wichita Falls endorsement of viewpoints expressed by users. Advertisements or announcements implying such endorsement are not permitted.
- No group may use the Library address as its own mailing address or as its headquarters in any advertisement.
- Solicitation, admission fees or other charges, money-raising activities and/or sales are not allowed. Study rooms are not intended for commercial activities.
- Study rooms will not be scheduled for social events and/or private parties.
- Tobacco and/or e-Cigarette use and alcoholic beverages are prohibited.
- Food is not allowed in the study rooms. Drinks with covered lids are allowed.
- Individuals and/or groups making reservations will be held liable for any and all damages that occur as a result of use of facilities.
- Permission to use study rooms may be withheld from anyone failing to comply with Study Room Policy and/or from anyone that damages the room, floor, equipment, or furnishings. Please clean up after yourself.
- Anyone using a study room agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Wichita Falls Public Library and the City of Wichita Falls, its agents and representatives, from any and all suits, actions, claims, or demands of any character or nature arising out of or brought on account of any injuries or damages sustained by any person as a consequence or result of the use of the room, its furnishings, or equipment.
Study rooms cannot be reserved for regularly scheduled meetings. If meeting on a regular basis, or if a room is needed for a longer period of time, please reserve the Conference Room by calling 940.767.0868.
Larger meeting rooms on the second floor of the building may be booked with the Recreation Department at 940.761.7490.
