These digital resources are supplied to our cardholders at no charge. Remote access is available for all databases EXCEPT Ancestry Library Edition and the Digital Archives of the WFPL. Most databases require your library barcode for remote access. Texshare Databases (T=Texshare) have a special login which may be obtained by calling the Service Desk at 940.767.0868 (You must be a WFPL cardholder to use the library's Texshare login) Remote off-site patrons must use this group Texshare link not the individual Texshare database links below.

Sourced from more than 19,000 American and global news sources, including over 400 current and historical Black publications An easy-to-use online resource available 24/7.

  • Book Review Digest Plus - From EBSCO - Book reviews on a wide range of topics from a variety of sources. 

  • Chilton Library - From EBSCO. Represents the most authoritative automotive repair information available to car owners. There are thousands of year, make and model combinations covering the most popular vehicles of the past 30 years, plus additional coverage of specialty models. T

  • City of Wichita Falls Code of Ordinances - The City Charter and Code of Ordinances for the City of Wichita Falls. They are available to be viewed online, printed, or downloaded.

  • Core - The world’s largest collection of open access research papers from around the world.

  • EBSCO Newspaper Source - Provides cover-to-cover full text for more than 40 (U.S.) & international newspapers. The database also contains selective full text for 389 regional (U.S.) newspapers. In addition, full-text television & radio news transcripts are also provided. T

  • EBSCO Science and Technology Collection - Contains more than 830 leading full-text journals covering relevant aspects of the scientific and technical community. In addition to the full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for more than 1,740 publications.   • Salem Press  - Online access to all of the library's Salem Press reference works in history, literature, science, health, and careers.

  • Sanborn Maps for Texas - Sanborn maps are valuable historical tools for urban specialists, social historians, architects, geographers, genealogists, local historians, planners, environmentalists and anyone who wants to learn about the history, growth, and development of American cities, towns, and neighborhoods. They are large-scale plans containing data that can be used to estimate the potential risk for urban structures. This includes information such as the outline of each building, the size, shape and construction materials, heights, and function of structures, location of windows and doors. The maps also give street names, street and sidewalk widths, property boundaries, building use, and house and block numbers. T
